Zoom 3049L v.90 External (Lucent Chipset) Modem Driver

Zoom 3049L v.90 External (Lucent Chipset) Driver. This zip file only contains the .inf files for the Zoom 3049L V.90 External modem. I tried the install file from Zoom and although it may work for Windows 9x it does not install the driver properly for Windows 2000.

Windows 2000 SP2 does find the modem when it is connected, but does not load the driver. To install this driver, download the 3049L.zip file, extract it somewhere you can find the contents. Go to the device manager, right click on the Zoom V.90 Faxmodem (which should have a yellow ! on it) and select update driver. Go to where the unzipped driver is and select the "mdmztw2k.inf" file and go thru the rest of the wizard. I didnt ask for a restart, but do one anyway and you should be on your way.
