Note: This firmware upgrade can be done having only the modem connected to your computer through the Ethernet cable (no USB cable).
Download the USR9002.img file to a temporary location on your computer’s hard disk drive such as C:\temp.
From the U.S. Robotics SureConnect ADSL Utility Upgrade screen, click the Browse button to locate the downloaded upgrade.
Select the upgrade and click Begin.
Note: Do not disrupt this process as it may cause serious modem malfunction.
