After downloading List Modem application from Conexant-remove modem from PC - check chipset - made in Mexico - R6793-15 - E-66540-1 confirmed - go to Conexant - Modem support - download 'Windows 127A1025HSF drivers signed.exe' - create folder in C drive where Windows file is located - name it 'CONEXANT' download zip file to this folder - open in this folder - go to Modem in Device Manager - 56k generic HCF modem - update driver - manual selection - go to file- & update. It took me 5 days how to figure this out. If you are successful, plesae drop me a line
