The modem connected only with slow speeds. On the E-Tech site there were no recent drivers and firmwares. I found out that the Zoltrix FMVSP56e2 uses the same chipset and flash and tried it. It works very well connects with 48Kbps or above. The signature of the flash reads as follows V2.300 022-201-V90_2M_DLS, RCV56DPF-PLL L8571A Rev 36.00/36.00
